Front Cover Design
Text formatting
Coverjig offers multiple ways to customize your text to achieve the perfect look for your book cover. You can adjust:
- Fonts – Choose from a selection of fonts (150+ options available).
- Font Effects – Apply effects such as 3D, patterned text, and more.
- Font Size – Adjust the text size to fit your design.
- Line Spacing – Modify spacing between lines for multi-line text.
- Text Alignment – Align text left, center, or right.
- Text Casing– Change between uppercase, lowercase, and title case.
- Text Color – Select a color that complements your design.
- Text Background Color– Add a background color behind the text (useful for increasing contrast between cover image and text).
- Layer Positioning – Adjust the depth of text layers, useful for overlapping text and images.
To modify text styling for your front cover design, simply click on the text element on your front cover. The Text Formatting tab will appear, allowing you to apply these adjustments.
Adding subtitles
Beyond the title and author name, you can add extra text elements, such as subtitles or taglines.
- Click theText tab.
- Select Add Subtitle. A new subtitle will be added to your cover.
- To remove a subtitle, click theicon next to it.
Once added, subtitles can be styled the same way as other text — just click on the text as it appears on the front cover to access the formatting options.
Front cover overlay
You may want to add a color overlay to your cover image. This is particularly useful if you want to increase the contrast between cover image and text.
To apply an overlay:
- Click theCover tab.
- Use the Overlay Opacity slider to adjust transparency.
- Change the overlay color by clicking the Overlay Color button.
Note: Overlays can also be applied to the back cover and spine.
