Configuring Your Book Cover
Book specifications overview
When creating your cover, it’s important to configure the following settings correctly:
- Trim Size
- Page Count
- Paper & Ink Type
These settings determine the spine width and overall size of your cover, ensuring they meet KDP’s requirements. Coverjig will automatically adjust the cover design based on your selections.
When setting your book's page count, it's essential to ensure that your manuscript is correctly formatted so that you know the final page count. This accuracy is necessary to obtain the correct page count, which directly affects the spine width of your book cover. If the manuscript is not properly formatted, the design tool may not be able to achieve the correct spine width for your cover.
